Ad Hoc Atelier: the marketplace dedicated to independent fashion Made in Italy
Milan, October 2021. Ad Hoc Atelier is the new digital showcase for the best Made in Italy artisan brands. A unique selection of clothes, jewelry and accessories for her and for him, refined and of high quality. Ad Hoc Atelier aggregates in its marketplace products made entirely in Italy, with a contemporary style and designed to last over time. Each creation tells a unique story, the result of passion, creativity and know-how.
From Venice to the Amalfi Coast, from Milan to Sicily, Ad Hoc Atelier is a journey to discover brands already known or yet to be known, representing the beauty and tradition of tailoring and craftsmanship of our country.
The concept of Ad Hoc Atelier was born in the spring of 2021 from the idea of four founders, all under twenty-five: Lorenzo Colucci, Carolina Du Chene, Giovanni Friggi and Vittorio Tatangelo. Their goal? To give life to a virtual atelier where the best Italian artisans meet customers looking for unique products of the highest quality.
A dream based on a concrete idea of supporting Made in Italy through the online sales channel, focusing on quality and sustainability. The project has attracted the attention of Astra Incubator, the first pre-acceleration program for successful startups, created to connect aspiring innovators and form multi-skilled teams.
To date, more than eighty companies have joined the project and are present on Ad Hoc Atelier, including: My Style Bags, bags, duffels and travel accessories with a refined and customizable design; Ripa Ripa, men’s beachwear inspired by the aesthetics of the Mediterranean and the Italian Sixties; Chitè, sustainable and inclusive women’s underwear; Caterina Bertini, handcrafted bags and hats from the Florentine tradition, made with care since 1925.
The team is ready to face fascinating and ambitious challenges in the immediate future: in the fall of 2021, Ad Hoc Atelier’s reach will expand into major global markets, including the United States, Germany, France and Northern Europe. The realities present on the platform will increase from 80 to 150, with space for new product categories. Real hidden gems, hardly accessible, will become available with a simple click.
The mission of the founders is to equip artisans and small businesses with the necessary systems to compete in the digital market. Ad Hoc Atelier brings around the world the excellence of handmade fashion made in Italy: tradition, quality and care for the product are combined with technology and digital innovation, creating a unique and winning combination.
