Sicilian Puppets Series

Saturday and Sunday the adventures of Guidone di Risa and Orlando. Fourth appointment with the podcasts of the Museum, on the Catanese puppeteer Natale Meli

The fourth appointment, tomorrow, Saturday 27 March at 12 noon, with I podcast del Museo delle Marionette, a monthly initiative organised by the Museum in collaboration with La Fabbrica dei Podcast and with actor Sandro Dieli as narrator.
This episode tells the story of the Catanese puppeteer Natale Meli, whose theatrical materials have become part of the permanent collection of the Puppet Museum. Don Natale was a true theatrical performer, a master of the stage with a stentorian voice. In Reggio Calabria, where he had moved, he was a great success, also because of his innate histrionic ability, which people particularly loved: his dialogues with the public became part of the collective imagination.

A new appointment with the Sicilian Puppets Series, the annual review conceived by the Puppet Museum involving the 10 puppet opera companies of the “Italian network of organisations for the protection, promotion and enhancement of puppet opera”.
There are 80 shows that, until 31 October, will be staged in streaming, free of charge (and in attendance as soon as possible) by the permanent theatres of Opera dei Pupi and cultural venues in five Sicilian municipalities.

On Saturday and Sunday it will be the turn of the companies Turi Grasso of Acireale and Brigliadoro of Palermo.
