If you pass by Bologna it’s party time


Bologna – An unusual summer in the name of local tourism has the undoubted advantage of (re)discovering familiar but sometimes little known panoramas, rich in history, villages to explore, beautiful landscapes and a world-famous food and wine offer. The wineries of the Consorzio Vini Colli Bolognesi, hard hit by the Covid-19 emergency, have reopened their doors to visitors and offer for summer 2020 a rich calendar of events for anyone who wants to enjoy the restful peace of our hills, perhaps sipping a glass of fresh Pignoletto DOCG in the shade of the vineyards or dining under the stars in one of the many farmhouses in the area.

Let’s start from the city of Bologna, with the Fienile Fluo that in the fairytale setting of via di Paderno 9 offers in the evenings of Thursday 23 July, Friday 14 August, Thursday 26 August and Thursday 10 September the “Dinners in the Vineyard”: among the scents of the vineyards the gastronomic proposals of chef Andrea Demaria, with original menus designed for the occasion accompanied by wine tasting dedicated to each evening (info and reservations at https://www.fienilefluo.it/cena-in-vigna/). Outdoor and vineyard dinners at Agriturismo Borgo delle Vigne – Azienda Agricola Gaggioli di Zola Predosa (via F. Raibolini il Francia, 55) on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday evenings and Sundays at lunch and menus in various price ranges, from €25 to €35 per person (info and reservations 051-750534, 335-412366). Also in Zola Predosa, every Friday from 6:30 pm La Roverella, organic restaurant of the winery Maria Bortolotti (Via San Martino, 1), offers “Il Wine Bar del Venerdì” in the new outdoor gazebo, with wine, hamburgers and tapas by chef Alessandro Aztori (info and reservations, also for lunches and dinners, at 3388329620 or via email to info@laroverella. it), while Manaresi agriculture and wine (via Antonio Bertoloni, 14-16) in addition to offering wine tours and guided tours with tastings, organizes for the evening of Monday, August 10 “Goblets of Stars”, the event of the National Wine Tourism Movement, proposing a dinner on the terrace and in the park with tasting of the wines of the company to accompany the courses (info and reservations 33570453/3358032189 or info@manaresi.net). The Azienda Agricola Fedrizzi Alessandro a Castello di Serravalle (via Castello 2257) in collaboration with Café de la Paix in Bologna organizes 3 Saturdays – July 18 and 25, August 1 – in the coolness of the vineyards with a dinner accompanied by stories of wine and agriculture by Alessandro Fedrizzi – best young winemaker in Italy according to the Slow Food Guide 2019 – in conversation with the journalist Gian Basilio Nieddu (booking required 3408134932/3406189349 or fedrizzivini@gmail.co).

Open from Thursday to Sunday, the restaurant in Corte d’Aibo (via Marzatore, 15), historical farm of Monteveglio, while on Wednesday evening until July 29th the appointment is with the review “Un sorso di musica” (A sip of music), with live music and a dedicated menu with cold cuts and cheeses and organic wines of the farm (info and reservations 051832583 or info@cortedaibo.it). The Agriturismo Il Primo Fiore di Montebudello (via Motta,2) is open all summer long with its famous tigelle and crescentine (reservations are welcome at 051831839 or 3248147704). In Sasso Marconi from Wednesday to Saturday from 6.30 p.m. the Agriturismo L’Isola del Sasso – Cantina Floriano Cinti (via Gamberi, 50) offers the Aperìsola, with appetizers and first courses of land and sea accompanied by the wines of the winery (cost 20€, info and reservations 0516751646). In Monte San Pietro the magnificent view of the vineyards of Tenuta Bonzara (via S. Chierlo 37/a) is the backdrop to the APERIvino on the panoramic terrace: appointment in July on the 16th (with live music by Federico Aicardi), 24th and 31st July (booking required 3280815765 and 3358110018): the evenings will then resume in September.

The Azienda Agricola Torricella – Agriturismo Mastrosasso di Savigno (via Scardazzo, 292) organizes “E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle” (And so we went out to see the stars again) on the evenings of Thursday 16th and 23rd July, with an aperitif on the lake organised by clubs and wine bars such as Ruggine, Bardamu and Bonalé and a signature dinner in collaboration with local chefs Carlo Alberto Borsarini from La Lumira and Fabio Berti from Trattoria Bertozzi.

Also back for the third consecutive year is the “Sunset in the Vineyard” organized by the network of local producers ViviValsamoggia: Tenuta La Riva di Castello di Serravalle (via Farné) will host the evenings, on July 16th and 30th, with the gastronomic proposals of Enoteca La Zaira di Bazzano, Trattoria dai Mugnai and Trattoria del Borgo di Monteveglio and Amerigo 1934, accompanied by local products of the area and wines from the cellars Corte d’Aibo, Fattorie Vallona, Orsi – Vigneto San Vito and Tenuta La Riva itself (evening cost 30€, info and reservations 3534101363 and reservations@vivivalsamoggia. en).
