The white night in the Dolomites

2020 night skiing opportunities in the illuminated ski areas of Val D’Ega (BZ)

Italy – The white of the slopes of Val D’Ega (BZ) is even brighter when the stars and the lights of lifts that do not know the distinction between day and night illuminate the snow. For skiers, snowboarders and tobogganers who can’t get enough, the areas in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site renew their invitation to the party where the Dolomites wear their evening gowns.
Even in the 2019/2020 season, the perfectly illuminated and prepared trails of Obereggen are the scene of a truly unforgettable experience, which three times a week lengthens the time of the descents and fun from 19:00 to 22:00. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, a 1,780 metre course in the Nightpark Obereggen awaits jibbers who want to show off their tricks on the jibline in the spotlight of a lion’s night. On the same days, starting on 29 November, the ski and tobogganing area opens its doors to maniacs, for a white night that continues in après-ski and sees its highlight in the Obereggen Night Show, which every Monday from 23 December 2019 to 30 March 2020 puts the scene of the great show of the ski and snowboard school, with the acrobatics of the best freestylers.
In the period between 26 December 2019 and 30 March 2020, Carezza Snow Night disseminates a series of Thursday’s white nights on the Pista Pra di Tori. The lights are on at 21:30 to inaugurate a show dedicated to all ways of doing sport and having fun on the snow, from the show of ski instructors inspired by the legend of King Laurin, to demonstrations of freestyle and telemark classic and modern.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday it is also possible to participate in the traditional Night Skiing in Nova Ponente, which from 20:00 to 22:00 provides yet another opportunity to slip on the snow far beyond the norm.
The ski schools of Obereggen and Carezza also organize numerous evening events to entertain children and adults with torchlight processions, freestyle, telemark and shows with snowmobiles.
