Tel Aviv: art and design on display in residence Ambassador

The Ambassador of Italy’s Residence in Israel opens its doors to the public for a series of guided tours of the collection of designer works of art, objects and furnishings on display in the home as part of the Day of the Contemporary.

The initiative, promoted by Ambassador Gianluigi Benedetti, will allow visitors to visit the Residenza’s collection, which includes works by Italian and Israeli artists and designers exhibiting in the most prestigious international museums. The works will be illustrated by the curator of the exhibition, Ermanno Tedeschi, expert and critic of contemporary art, in the presence of the artist Lello Esposito, author of some of the most iconic works in the collection, who has been working on the city of Naples and its symbols for about thirty years. On this occasion, Lello Esposito has created a work dedicated to Naples on a wall at the entrance of the Residence. In addition to the collection of art and design, will be on display jewelry made by some Italian artists, real works of art to wear, lent by the Babs Art Gallery in Milan.

The Residence of the Ambassador of Italy in Israel is, since the eighties, one of the historic villas in the famous district of Tel Biniamin in Ramat Gan, whose birth and evolution are inextricably linked to the history of Tel Aviv, with houses designed by leading European architects of the twentieth century.
