Sun, crystal clear sea, beaches with fine white sand, where you can enjoy some well-deserved relaxation, long walks and beautiful swimming, perhaps admiring the fish and the seabed. This is what Italian tourists are looking for for for the month of August. According to the data collected if among those who have chosen June or July for their summer holidays, more than one person in three has turned to lake tourism, in August 85% of travelers choose a seaside resort.

Paradise landscapes, which would make you immediately think of a postcard from the Maldives, however, there is no need to get as far as the Indian Ocean, there are corners of equal beauty in Italy and Europe.
As far as Italy is concerned, the most successful regions are Sicily and Sardinia. In particular, in Sicily the most popular destinations are Scala dei Turchi, in the province of Agrigento, the most beautiful seafront staircase in Italy, a blinding white, which almost contrasts with the intense blue of the water, and the Tonnarella Beach of Uzzo di Scopello, within the Zingaro Reserve, in the province of Trapani, small and intimate, but of immense beauty, lying in the shade of an ancient trap. Moving to Sardinia, among the most breathtaking places we find Cala Brandinchi di San Teodoro, in the province of Olbia-Tempio, also known as the small Italian Tahiti for the beauty of its beaches and its crystal clear waters, and Punta Molentis, in Villasimius, in the province of Cagliari, a beach bathed by the waters of two seas, and really Caribbean colors.

Looking to the rest of Europe, small tropical corners can be found in Formentera, with Cala de Mort, a beach with a disturbing name, but among the most beautiful ever in Europe, in Croatia, with the beach of Bol in Hvar, a long strip of white sand that stretches in the clear waters of the sea for about half a kilometer, and on the island of Crete, with the beach of Elafonissi, with its unique pink sand and a sandy islet in front of the beach, reachable on foot by a very thin strip of sand.
