The ranking of the best terraces in Italy

Although the weather is still variable, with the arrival of the beautiful days the desire to eat outdoors grows. TheFork, website and app for Android and iOS that allows you to book in over 60,000 restaurants worldwide, 15,000 of which in Italy, has analyzed the preferences of users on gastronomic experiences in restaurants with terraces in some of its main markets. During spring and summer, the search for terrace restaurants is growing five-fold globally, and in Italy it is even multiplying by nine.

The average receipt of restaurants with a terrace is slightly higher than the average: in Italy we are around € 28.5 against € 27.2 of restaurants that do not have an outdoor space. In Italy, users are also looking for restaurants with this option at lunch and dinner (16% of total searches), while there are cases such as Spain and Portugal where searches for restaurants with terraces are more frequent at lunch. Also, when you book a restaurant with a terrace you tend to reserve earlier. We do this on average one and a half days earlier. Finally, the most booked cuisine for this type of restaurant is the Mediterranean one.
