Spring in Venissa

In complete tranquillity and far from intense tourist flows, the Wine Resort of Mazzorbo and the Albergo Diffuso on the island of the Lagoon offer interesting accommodation packages to live, in the atmosphere of spring awakening, the original coté of the other Venice together with the buranelli, its inhabitants

Venice – A kaleidoscope of intense sensations and colours, far from the “noise” of the most intense tourist flows in Venice, to be experienced in a lagoon microcosm where nature, culture, traditions and flavours blend in a harmonious unicum. Mazzorbo and Burano, real “islands” of tranquillity, are united in a complex 360° hospitality project born in 2007 from the visionary idea of Gianluca Bisol who, after having saved the last native Dorona grape varieties, who now grows in an exclusive walled vineyard in Mazzorbo, opened the Venissa Estate to guests, now entirely entrusted to his son Matteo Bisol. Here, next to the starred restaurant and the Osteria Contemporanea, you can have five rooms in the Wine Resort, ideal for a gourmet holiday of the highest level. And, moreover, you can also count on the accommodation of Casa Burano by Venissa, the first albergo diffuso in Venice, in the typical multicoloured houses that overlook the canals of the lagoon, once inhabited by fishermen (there are still and still fish every day… but not only that, together with them on a bragozzo you can discover hidden corners that only they know) but also by lacemakers, whose art is still appreciated. There are so many unique opportunities to catch the most authentic coté of the native Venice, here where the charm is created by the buranelli, the inhabitants of the island and a different perspective of living in the lagoon. Another native activity is rowing, a tradition that is practiced daily and with pride, because here it is also a way of life.
The incomparable context of the island of Burano is also the pretext for reversing the patterns, avoiding the flow of waterbuses that discharge tourists in the morning and enjoy instead, in the afternoon, the island that takes possession of itself. The inhabitants go down the streets, sit on the benches with the children playing, and the wine shot makes everyone agree. Casa Burano by Venissa has thirteen rooms that can be found in five delightful coloured houses, renovated in 2016, involving the excellence of Venetian architecture and design, where sleeping in the peace of a place that in the morning is silent and almost remote, is an unforgettable experience, while the awakening of spring is best combined with the lively colors of the village.

A stay with breakfast basket, starting from 144 € in a double room (Suite or Junior Suite) for two guests including a welcome drink and a voucher of 10 € to be used at the Osteria Contemporanea or at the Venissa Starred Restaurant (open from April), on the nearby island of Mazzorbo, connected to Burano by a bridge.
The Gourmet package includes an overnight stay in the chosen accommodation (Superior, Suite or Junior Suite) from 208 € in a double room, with breakfast basket for two guests, a lunch or dinner for two guests at the Osteria Contemporanea (four-course menu at the chef’s discretion) and a bottle of Prosecco to welcome you on arrival in your room.
Alternatively, on the island of Mazzorbo, Tenuta Venissa also suggests the five rooms of the Wine Resort (Superior Rooms and Suites) with an average price from 153 to 280 €, breakfast included, in a beautiful residence, expertly restored, where an essential and elegant interior design has preserved the simplicity and beauty of the houses of the lagoon. Here Tenuta Venissa offers, for its part, the romantic package Escape into the lagoon, starting from 200 €, which includes parking on the mainland (Ca’ Noghera) with boat transfer to the island of Mazzorbo, dinner, always for two guests at the Osteria Contemporanea (four-course menu at the discretion of the chef), an overnight stay at the Wine Resort with breakfast the next morning and return to the mainland by boat.
