Oysters and whiskey, the coolest pairings at the Roma Whisky Festival


Rome – Now in its eighth edition, the Roma Whisky Festival is back, an unmissable event for all those who live in the world of whiskey and a privileged showcase for creating synergies between participating companies and a wide audience of professionals, enthusiasts and newcomers. On 2 and 3 March, at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome Eur, a two-day event with masterclasses, seminars and collecting. Over 2000 labels for tasting and many companies that will participate. Among these I love Oyster, the exclusive format of online shops, catering and tastings with protagonists oysters, crudités of sea and fish of the highest quality, which confirms its presence again this year, with a partnership that proves to be successful. Present since the first edition, I love Ostrica offers the unusual but tasty combination of oysters-whisky through an oyster tasting path with new gastronomic “risky”.

For the Oyster Corner, the proposal of I love Oyster offers for this year an absolute novelty: the combination of Fine de France and Bergamo sausage, a tribute to the French tradition of combining meats and oysters. Other selected oysters include the Bouzigues (Occitania), the Prestige des mers from Normandy, the Fine de France oyster from New Aquitaine and finally the flat Belon oyster from Brittany.

In addition to the oyster corner, a gourmet corner will be set up with tasting dishes created specifically for the occasion, the result of an original and prestigious culinary research. For visitors, a selection of Iberian hams combined with oysters: grilled Asado di Pata Negra.

After collaborating with Campari and Ardbeg, I love Ostrica reaches a new frontier of taste. Through the gastronomic collaboration with Roma Whisky Festival, it reveals a synergy destined to grow between two worlds that have remained separate until now.
