Italy – The Red Arrow, at its thirty-seventh re-enactment, will start Wednesday, May 15, 2019, rekindling the enthusiasm of millions of fans who will crowd the streets of Italy to attend the passage of a race that has entered the legend. The most beautiful landscapes of Italy will be the majestic setting of the 1000 Miles that will cross the heart of the boot to the capital, and then return to where everything was born, in Brescia, Saturday 18, after stopping in Cervia-Milano Marittima, Rome and Bologna.

Dynamism, beauty, sophistication, innovation, tradition and passion: this is the formula of the 1000 Miglia, contemporary and involving but also exalting the genuine spirit of competition, a constant challenge of performance, excellence, uniqueness, elegance, know-how that translate into an innate attitude to improvement. A formula capable of making a heterogeneous audience of spectators fall in love; spectacle in the show, different nationalities, ages and cultures that meet in the streets and squares of the most beloved country in the world, on the occasion of the passage of the Red Arrow, in a spirit of perfect sharing with the drivers in search of that thrill, that noise, that smell, that emotion.

A 1000 Miles emblem of Italian spirit, loved and sought after, born from the car and contaminated with art, design, beauty widely understood, able to explore physical places and not, in search of a deep exchange of experiences.

The 2019 edition will feature 430 examples of exceptional cars, testimonies of the history of design and the automobile, yet contemporary and projected towards the future.

The desire to make the race even safer and more respectful of the rules of fair play and environmental impact has led to the decision to limit the number of cars participating, 20 fewer than in previous editions.

The route

The 1000 Miglia has always been a splendid showcase for the territories it crosses, capable of enhancing the peculiarities, hidden corners, the oldest traditions, artistic beauty, gastronomic excellence, craftsmanship, industry and manufacturing, which make Italy a symbol of elegance, exclusivity and design recognized throughout the world. In the 2019 edition, the cities that will become the backdrop and protagonists of the 1000 Miles will be, on the first day, Desenzano, Brescia, Sirmione, Valeggio sul Mincio (with the crossing of the picturesque Sigurtà Garden Park), Mantua, Ferrara, Comacchio and Ravenna, before arriving in the evening in Cervia-Milano Marittima. At the first light of dawn on Thursday, May 16, the caravan will reach Cesenatico and continue to Senigallia, Fabriano and Assisi, until you reach the capital, at sunset in a context of great scenic and emotional impact.

On Friday 17 May, the ascent will begin, through the breathtaking landscapes of Viterbo, Siena, Vinci and Pistoia, and will end in the heart of Emilia, land of engines, stopping in Bologna.

The last leg of Saturday, May 18 will pass through Modena, Parma, Montichiari, Travagliato, ending, with his triumphant entry in Brescia, for the traditional catwalk in Viale Venezia.


The registration fee for participation in the 1000 Miles remains unchanged and corresponds to 8,000 Euro + VAT. New this year, the introduction of the GOLD fee (registration fee of 10,000 Euro + VAT including hospitality for six nights, exclusive equipment for drivers, pre- check-in at hotels along the way) and the PLATINUM fee (registration fee of 50,000 Euro + VAT with participation in the race Guest Car formula including hospitality for up to six drivers, exclusive equipment, pre- check-in at hotels along the way and automatic acceptance of the car upon registration in the Register 1000 Miles).


Entries to the “most beautiful race in the world” are reserved for all cars in trouble at least one of the same model has been entered in the 1000 Miglia di velocità (1927-1957). A list of eligible cars is available at www.1000miglia.it In order to be selected, registered cars must have at least one of these documents: ACI-CSAI (Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana), Htp FIA (Historic technical passport issued by the Fédération lnternationale de l’Automobile) or the D FIVA Cldentity Card of the Fédération lnternationale des Véhicules Anciens).

From this year, the 1000 Miles Register is also operational, the certifying body set up to record, classify and certify the cars involved in the twenty-four editions of the 1000 Miles of speed contested from 1927 to 1957. Entry in the Register is valid in order to apply your car for the race.

The cars entered will be selected by a special committee, composed of experts appointed by 1000 Miglia srl and international technical commissioners of the FIVA Technical Commission. Registration will open on 23 October 2018 and close at 23:59 on 10 January 2019 (Italian time GMT + 1).
