The sea of Chia, a journey of discovery

From Aquadulci you can go diving in the crystal clear waters, aboard a wooden schooner, barefoot, by bicycle and on horseback. And you can surf the waves, windsurf or paddle and kayak.

Immerse yourself in the crystal clear water, finding yourself chasing the little sea creatures that glisten among the transparencies illuminated by the sun, sail on a boat with sails deployed or row aboard a kayak, discovering white beaches hidden by the rocks and dunes. The sea in Chia (CA) is a universe to live every day. Here, in the extreme south of Sardinia, a land that has preserved its most original and wild nature among the colors and scents of the Mediterranean maquis, sea life is not only lying in the sun and relaxing lulled by the waves, but a real journey of exploration. An experience that begins at Aquadulci, a refined hotel – which opens on April 28, 2018 -, surrounded by a lush garden with swimming pool just a stone’s throw from the beach of Su Giudeu, elected by the Blue Guide of Legambiente the most beautiful in Italy. The adventure begins aboard the Milmar wooden schooner, who leaves from the port of Teulada to explore the south-west coast, where you can see heavenly beaches, hidden coves, dive into the shades of blue. Leading the crew is Captain Roberto Uccheddu, ready to reveal the secrets of the sea of this precious corner of the island. With sails in the wind, you reach Capo Teulada, seeing granite walls, lunch on board in company and then return, between the various stops, you stop at Cala Zafferano, which enchants with its bright marine colors. The many beaches are an opportunity to stop for snorkeling or paddle, enjoy hiking by kayak, perhaps accompanied by a marine guide. The paddle experience costs between 30 and 55 euros. The guided kayak hike, covering 15 km with various stages, is priced at 60 euros per person (www.paddlelab.it).
From Aquadulci, the exploration starts early in the morning, among the lights of dawn: walk along a wooden footbridge that connects the hotel to the beautiful beach of Su Giudeu. Then the route continues walking to a small lagoon area, the beach of the pier, and towards the long sandy kerb that borders two lagoons where you can observe pink flamingos and other species of migratory birds. Not far from Su Giudeu, there is the beach of Cala Cipolla, embraced by the granites of two promontories, which form a natural swimming pool. To reach it you cross dunes dotted with pines and junipers, glimpses of primitive and authentic nature. Walking again, you arrive at Capo Spartivento, with its imposing rocks overlooking the sea, an enchanted place to enjoy the sunset. Around Aquadulci the itineraries to follow are always a discovery, to live by bike or on horseback. Those who love to feel even more in contact with the waves and the soul of the sea, can participate in kitesurfing and windsurfing courses. Then return to Aquadulci to relax by the pool and enjoy the flavours of the sea in the à la carte restaurant. The price is starting from 75 euro per person per day in B&B formula. Some room types include beach service in Su Giudeu.
