Venturieri gathering at the Marina Santelena in Venice
On 26th and 27th May 2018 the tourist port of Venice “SANTELENA Marina in Venice”, 500 meters from the Arsenal, will host what promises to be a great celebratory event. The Association I Venturieri, founded in 1988 with the aim of spreading the culture of sailing, will organize the meeting of the thirtieth anniversary of the birth. Participation will be open to vintage, classic, traditional and self-constructed sailing boats. The public will be able to visit the quays on the occasion of the meeting and attend the short conference in memory of Gian Marco Borea d’Olmo, the historic founder of the association.
30 YEARS OF SAILING
It will be a great festival of sailing and traditional fishing that Saturday 26 and Sunday, May 27, 2018 will take place at the “SANTELENA Marina in Venice”, about 500 meters from the Arsenal of Venice ( boat stop ‘Giardini’). The historic association I Venturieri, founded in Chioggia in 1988 with the aim of practicing and teaching sailing on board vintage boats, classic and self-constructed, will celebrate here the thirtieth anniversary of the association and the fourteenth edition of their annual meeting. The participation will be open to boats of classic lines, although not associated with Venturi, between 5 and 15 meters long, built of wood, metal or ferrocement. The registration of other types of sailing hulls will be evaluated at the sole discretion of the organizing committee. The public who wish to can access the Marina Santelena to admire the hulls at the berth. The event is sponsored by the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV), the Tourist Promotion Consortium “Con Chioggia si”, Assonautica Venezia and sponsored by Banca della Marca, “Chioggia Yacht Group associated marine” and BCA Demco.
