The Fieracavalli Grand Prix debuts

Verona, Italy – Fieracavalli celebrates its 120th anniversary with a new competition for fans of show jumping. The next edition of the event, to be held at the Verona Fair Centre from 25 to 28 October 2018, will see the debut of the Fieracavalli Grand Prix.

The competition, in the A6 star category, will see 120 binomials descend into the ring. The initiative – organized in collaboration with Fise-Federazione italiana sport equestri – thus enriches the already important calendar of sporting events that are held during the fair days, first of all, Jumping Verona, the only Italian stage of the Longines FEI World CupTM.

The Fieracavalli Grand Prix will be presented tomorrow in Rome, on the occasion of the 86th International Official Horse Racing Competition (CSIO) in Piazza di Siena. Enrolments will then open in September, with the communication of the admission criteria.

Fieracavalli is the reference exhibition for the international equestrian panorama, succeeding in uniting all the realities that revolve around the world of horses: breeding, sport, tourism, business and entertainment.

Every year more than 3 thousand horses of 60 breeds and more than 200 events including competitions and exhibitions attract 160 thousand visitors to Verona from more than 60 nations, including professionals, insiders, young promises of the saddle and fans of all ages.

A success that has its roots in a history that goes back more than a century, born together with the Fair of Verona itself, with the establishment in 1898 of the six-monthly fairs of agriculture and horses.
