In Verona the Festival of Art, Music and Culture
Verona becomes the capital of Beauty. From May 27 to June 10 at the Roman theater in Verona at the foot of Colle San Pietro will be held the fifth edition of the Festival of Beauty. The theme of this edition will be the hot years of the 60’s and 70’s that brought new forms of art.
You can listen to Gino Paoli (May 28), Ivano Fossati who on May 29 at the Roman Theatre offers a reflection on the theatre-singing and Giorgio Gaber; Morgan (June 7) who will give a lecture concert on Fabrizio De André and his poetic art, Goran Bregovic (June 8) with an orchestra of flutes and strings, Philip Glass (May 27) and Elio and the stories Tese (June 9). But there will be more than just concerts.
Philosophers, journalists and art historians will interpret all the other nuances on Beauty, starting with Philippe Daverio (June 5, at the Roman Theatre) who will tell of Vivaldi, Dante and Giotto as the forefathers of modern art; Massimo Cacciari (June 7, Teatro Filarmonico) will talk about the relations between Beethoven, Chopin and Romantic philosophy, Alessandro Piperno on June 3 at the Giardino Giusti contrasts the founders of the novel Stendhal and Flaubert. Space also for theater, with Fabrizio Gifuni (June 1) tells his theatrical experience compared to literary classics, Luigi Lo Cascio and Gloria Campaner (June 2) staged the Russian poetics with Esenin and Rachmaninov. On June 6 at the Roman theatre, the star Catherine Deneuve in a duet with the film critic Gianni Canova.
